what is Transport Request?

Transport Request is like a vehicle which is used to carry out all changes from one client to another client.

How many types of Transpor t Request are there?

there are two types of Transport Requests.

1:  Customization Request : it will be Generated for all Customizing Activities. Like:comp. code creation , etc. it's a client indipendent.

2: Workbench Request : it will be Generated for Developing Programs, it's a client Dependent.

How many types of Transport Request Status are available in SAP?

two types

1: Modifiable : if select this it displays the Transport Requests which have not yet released, it can be Re-usable.

2: Released : if select check box, it displays which Transport Requests were released, once Transport Request was released it can't be Re-used.

How to Rlease a Transport Request?       T.Code - SE09 / SE10

User Name : SAPUSER

if it's Customization Request, Select Customization Request check box

Select Modifiable check box

De Select Released Check box

Click on Display button

Expand Transport Request Number

Keep the Cursor on Customizing Task number

Click on Release Directly button, like F9 or vehicle symbol button

Keep the Cursor on Main Request number

Click on Release Directly button, like F9 or vehicle symbol button

De Select Modifiable Check box

How to import changes from one client to another client? Like : in development server we have three clients like Golden client, Golden test client and Sand box.

In this I want to import changes from Golden client to Golden test client.

Here we are Transporting Request from one client to another client with in the same server, not in the other server. It's not our job of transporting requests from one server to another, job of Basis consultant

login into target client, like in Golden test client

use T. Code : SCC1

Sourch Client         : 100. like Golden client number

Transport Request : DMOK900055. mean write down the Request no which one want to import / copy

Select Including Request Subtask check box

De Select Test Run Check box

Select Start immediately button.

Click on Regresh button.

Go and Check the changes.

How to Import changes from one client to another client in Different environment? Like : Transporting the Request from Development server to Quality server. It's the job of Basis consultant.

Logon in to Target client. Like in Quality server

use T. Code : STMS

STMS : SAP Transport Management System

Click on Import overview button

Enter

Double click on Required Transport Request number.

Specify the source client : 200. like client of Quality server

Enter

Click on Refresh button.

Go and check the changes.

Notes :

Transport customizing data to Golden client to Golden Test Client.

From Development client to Quality client.

From Development client to Production client.

No. Range Intervels and Tax code's should not copy to Production client.

Japan's Nuclear Reactors: What's Happening Inside?

     Japan's biggest recorded earthquake has knocked out back-up cooling at several stricken reactors at a nuclear power plant in Fukushima prefecture north of Tokyo, causing a build-up of heat and pressure.

What is happening now in the core of the nuclear reactors?

• The core of a nuclear reactor consists of a series of zirconium metal pipes or rods containing pellets of uranium fuel bundled into what engineers call fuel assemblies.
• Water is pumped between the pipes to keep them cool and create steam to drive an electricity-generating turbine.
• Back-up cooling has struggled at various times over the past three days at reactor units 1, 2 and 3 at the Fukushima plant.
• In the normal running of a reactor, high-energy neutrons from the uranium fuel bash atoms and break them into pieces in a chain reaction which creates heat, new radioactive elements such as strontium and caesium, and new neutrons which continue the process.
• The chain reaction halted within a few seconds of the earthquake at all the nuclear reactors in Japan, including those worst affected, as they automatically shut down: control rods made of boron were inserted into the fuel, absorbing the neutrons.
• However the natural decay of the radioactive materials in the reactor core continues to produce heat, called decay heat, which falls to a quarter of its original level in the first hour, and then disappears more slowly.
• Normally that heat is removed by coolant pumps whose back-up power supply was knocked out by the earthquake, tsunami or both at the Fukushima plant.
• Emergency workers are trying to cool the inner reactor cores and remove this decay heat by pumping seawater inside. They have added boric acid to the seawater to try and further halt nuclear reactions in a "belt and braces" measure.
  
• It is important to cool the reactor cores because even though the chain reactions have stopped, there is still enough heat to melt the metal sheaths surrounding the uranium fuel. If these are hot enough they react chemically with the surrounding water, producing an explosive gas hydrogen.
• It is that hydrogen gas which has caused the two explosions at the Fukushima plant, at unit 1 on Saturday and reactor unit 3 on Monday, experts and authorities say.
• Engineers have tried to vent the hydrogen into the atmosphere, which has also contributed to some local radiation because the gas contained small amounts of radioactive particles.
• The core of the reactor is inside a thick steel container called a reactor vessel, and around that there is a concrete containment shield. Around the whole there is a more open building with quite a thin covering not intended to be structurally important.
• The hydrogen explosions only damaged the outer building, which collapsed, not the inner shells, say authorities.
• If an inner reactor vessel were breached that would raise radiation levels. But there is no longer enough heat to blow these apart, experts say.
• The worst remaining risk is that the core melts, which would make it much more difficult and perhaps impossible to remove the fuel, which is what happened at Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania in 1979. The site would have to be sealed permanently.
• Chernobyl in 1986 was a different situation where the control rods failed to control the fission chain reaction, leading to blasts which blew the reactor apart, releasing radiation which contaminated Ukraine and Europe in the world's worst civil nuclear disaster.

        There are lots of financial schemes available in India. Many of them provides you guaranteed returns, high interest rates,tax savings under various sections of Indian Income Tax Act and much more benefits.These financial plans not only provide you money growth but also provide you with financial security at various steps in your life.It depends on your needs which product suits you best.

BANK SAVINGS

1. Bank Fixed Deposits, [Term Deposit]

In a Fixed Deposit Saving Scheme a certain sum of money is deposited in the bank for a specified time period with a fixed rate of interest.

When you want to invest your hard earned money for a longer period of time and get a regular income, Fixed Deposit Scheme is ideal. It is SAFE, LIQUID and FETCHES HIGH RETURNS.

Loan / Overdraft facility is available against bank fixed deposits. Now many banks don’t charges for premature withdrawal.

2. RECURRING DEPOSITS

Under a Recurring Bank Deposit Saving Scheme, investor invests a specific amount in a bank on a monthly basis for a fixed rate of return. The deposit has a fixed tenure, at the end of which you get your principal sum as well as the interest earned during that period.

Recurring Deposit provides you the element of compulsion to save at high rates of interest applicable to Term Deposits along-with liquidity to access that savings any time.

GOVERNMENT TAX SAVINGS

RBI Bonds, or RBI Relief Bonds

RBI Bonds are tax saving bonds that have a special provision that allows the investor to save on tax. These Bonds are instruments that are issued by the RBI.

The interest is compounded half-yearly. Maturity period of RBI Bonds is five years, and interest received is tax-free in the hands of the investor.

OTHER SAVINGS

1. Infrastructure Bonds,

Infrastructure bonds are available through issues of ICICI and IDBI, brought out in the name of ICICI Safety Bonds and IDBI Flexibonds. These provide tax-saving benefits under Section 88 of the Income Tax Act, 1961, for the investor. You can reduce your tax liability by upto Rs 16,000 per annum

2. Company Fixed Deposits

Fixed deposits in companies that earn a fixed rate of return over a period of time are called Company Fixed Deposits. Financial institutions and Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs) also accept such deposits.

3. Life Insurance:

Life insurance saving schemes for government owned Life Insurance Corporation of Indiaand other private life insurance companies like Bajaj Allianz, Birla Sun Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential and more.

TAX REBATES UNDER INDIAN INCOME TAX ACT

Specified Investment Schemes u/s 80C

• Life insurance premium payments
• Contributions to Employees Provident Fund (EPF) / GPF
• Public Provident Fund (maximum Rs 70,000 in a year)
• National Saving Certificates including accrued interest. [NSC]
• Unit Linked Insurance Plan (ULIP)
• 5-Year fixed deposits with banks and Post Office
• Repayment of Housing Loan (Principal)
• Senior Citizens Savings Scheme (SCSS)
• Equity Linked Savings Scheme (ELSS)
• National Pension Scheme (NPS)
• Tuition Fees including admission fees or college fees paid for Full-time education of any two children of the assessee (Any Development fees or donation or payment of similar nature shall not be eligible for deduction).
• Infrastructure Bonds issued by Institutions/ Banks such as IDBI, ICICI, REC, PFC etc.
• Interest accrued in respect of NSC VIII issue.

Deduction under section 80 CCC(1)

This section allows a deduction of up to Rs. 10,000 to an individual in respect of contribution to ‘Pension’ scheme of LIC of India or any other Insurance Co.

Tax saving Pension plans available in market are LIC‘s Jeevan Suraksha, ICICI Pru Life Time Pension, Aviva Life Pension Plus, Max Easy Life policy, Tata AIG’s Nirvana Plus etc.

Section 80 CCE

Aggregate deduction u/s 80 C, u/s 80 CCC and 80 CCD can not exceed Rs. 1,00,000. ( One Lac)

Deduction under section 80D.

Under This section, a deduction up to Rs 10,000 (Rs 15,000 in case of senior citizens) is allowed in respect of premium paid by cheque towards health insurance policy, like “Mediclaim”. Such premium can be paid towards health insurance of spouse, dependent parents as well as dependent children.

Deduction under section 24(b)

Under this section, Interest on borrowed capital for the purpose of house purchase or construction is deductible from taxable income up to Rs. 1,50,000 with some conditions to be fulfilled.

The computer maker will start shipping laptops with the latest Intel Core processors next week, launching a complete refresh of its consumer PCs. 

Dell next week will start selling laptops with Intel's second-generation Core processors, which had been delayed while Intel fixed the flawed chipset that ships with the processors.

The first laptops to include the new Core i3, i5, or i7 processors, codenamed Sandy Bridge, with the corrected 6 Series chipset, called Cougar Point, will be Inspiron models, Dell said Monday. Inspiron is Dell's mainstream line of consumer laptops.

New ultra-slim laptops will follow the Inspiron release, which will begin an across-the-board refresh of Dell consumer PCs over the next six weeks. "We'll also have a slew of Sandy Bridge options for business customers in the coming weeks as well, including several Latitude laptops, Optiplex desktops, and Precision workstation, desktop, and laptop options," Lionel Menchaca, chief blogger for Dell, said on the company's blog.

Dell suspended shipments of PCs with Sandy Bridge and Cougar Point, after Intel announced in late January that a defect had been found in the Cougar Point chipset. The design flaw in the chipset's serial-ATA ports could cause the performance of a PC hard disk drive or DVD drive to degrade over time. Intel shipped 8 million of the chipsets before discovering the flaw.

The snafu is expected to cost Intel $1 billion in lost revenue and higher expenditures in fixing the problem. The last time Intel suffered a serious setback from a faulty product was in 1994, when a flaw discovered in its Pentium processor led to a pre-tax charge of $475 million against earnings.

Dell was not the only computer maker to suspend PC shipments -- Hewlett-Packard, Samsung, and others did the same. Dell gave customers the option of returning affected PCs, keeping them until a replacement was available, or keeping a PC order open until a reworked system was available.

Intel started shipping new versions of Cougar Point to computer makers in the middle of February, which was roughly two weeks faster than originally estimated when the flaw was announced Jan. 31.

In addition to firmware updates scheduled for Spring of this year for the Windows Phone 7 Venue Pro, the company is set to release a next-generation hardware utilizing the same Venue Pro form factor in the summer, or Q3. Codenamed Wrigley, that device is said to sport a 1 GHz processor–probably a newer processor than what’s on the Venue Pro that’s now available–and a 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen along with an 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture.
